Designed for a young family of four, this house is nestled on the western side of Middle Harbour amongst Sydney’s abundant bushland. The addition builds upon the bones of the previous double brick structure, culminating in a warm and contemporary design that better meets the needs of the family.

Large living spaces are oriented to capture light and air from the north, whilst generous balconies encourage entertaining and dining to spill to the outdoors. In all directions, the family able to enjoy the outdoors and Sydney’s unique landscape through both views and a close interrelation between indoor and outdoor spaces.

There is a place for everyone in the family, be it the pool for swimming and playing, the tranquil study for deep focus, or the family room for convivial festivities.
